Whoa! Two games updated today. However it’s not as special as it seems. In fact, I’m not even quite sure what the update is. It’s a bug fix with our the laser element reacts to ledges. The update was for two games because this bug was in both Powder Game and its sequel.

Rhythm Editor ver1.8
Today’s update for Rhythm Editor allows you to drag a box while selected in order to actually change it’s size. It’s a lot more convenient than having to click multiple times in order to get to the width or height for a block you want.
Rhythm Editor ver1.7
Today’s simple update allows you to move note blocks around as they’re selected. And that’s pretty much it.
Simple Jumping Game
I wanted to get a bit used to how Game Maker work, so I made this very simple platformer over the course of the a few days. The controls are simple, you can cling to celings, and you can also skip to any level using the 1 through 0 keys. You can also collect a coin in every level, although they really don’t do anything.
There’s not much to this game, but it was a fun learning experience. Play it if you’d like!
Rhythm Editor ver1.6
Uploading this a later today because Pokemon Sun just came out. I’ve been playing that, but still, nothing will ever stop me from getting my weekly Dan-Ball Updates out.
This week we have another Rhythm Editor update, and it’s a pretty simple one this time. However this one I’m actually quite a huge fan of. Whenever you click on a block, you have the option to randomly shuffle it’s contents. It can be used to play around and find a rhythm you find interesting based on random chance alone. It’s pretty cool.

This week’s simple Rhythm Editor update allows you to change the size of any given rhythm block. A pretty small update, all things considered.
Stick Ranger ver18.5
A small update today that added an ending screen as well as made the final boss a bit harder.
The ending screen is interesting. What appears to happen is it takes the pose your rangers were in the second you ended the level (even if they’re dead) and puts them next to each other. It sort of reminds me of Rocket Knight Adventures level end screens.
The second thing they did was make the final boss harder. He is no longer vulnerable to the slow status ailment, and he appears to use the skull attack more often. Nothing too crazy, but it does make the boss a lot more difficult.
Shepherdmancer
Shepherdmancer is an RPG puzzler about saving sheep from evil monsters. Collect skills and abilities as you make your way through 25 levels and utilize them to overcome great challenges!
Before each encounter, you are shown what you’re going to be going up against. Then you select a moveset of skills from the variety of abilities you’ve accumulated. The journey will be tough, but you’ll be well equipped.
Fight your way through seashells, shields, mushrooms, horseshoe crabs, clouds and backpacks! Can you defeat Tablesalt the evil cat king?

Stick Ranger ver18.4
Man, this update is something a lot of us have been waiting for for a long time. Around 8 years to be exact. On they day, they have finally added a final boss to this beloved game. It’s been quite a long journey, so here we go.
The boss looks similar to the very first mega boss of the game, Castle Boss. However this one has a crown, as if to signify that he’s the true ruler of this world. He also has by far the most attacks I have ever seen from a single enemy. He appears to possess an attack of every element, so getting through this fight without taking several hits is probably a near impossibility.
The fight is very difficult, though I noticed that using a slowing weapon makes this fight a lot easier. I used Ice Missile for example, what anything with the slow effect will work great.
An attention to detail I didn’t notice when I first defeated the boss was that instead of the sign leading back to world map saying “Map”, it says “End”. So that’s even further proof that this is the final confrontation of the game. I can see them potentially adding a few more items and maybe even a bonus stage or two, but for the most part this might be the end of Stick Ranger. It’s been quite a journey.
It goes without saying that I love this game. So even if this is the final update to the game, I probably won’t be finished playing the it. Stick Ranger has anyways been one of my favorite games, both to play casually and to Let’s Play. Even more it was also the first game I ever Let’s Played. It’s a game that introduced me to this hobby in the first place.
I mentioned this in my video too, but I might consider making Stick Ranger sort of a game I would play again every year or two on stream or something. I feel it’s a game that suits my channel very well, and people really like it. Maybe in the future we can experiment with crazier teams or unusual challenges to make the game more interesting. Heck, maybe I could Let’s Play the mobile version as well. We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. But for now, a long and amazing journey has come to an end. We’ve done it fellow Stick Ranger fans, we have completed one of our favorite games!
